Dr. Suzanne Koptur
Dr. Koptur is a Professor of Biological Sciences with an office in Owa Ehan. Our team met with her and discussed her experiences with bird strikes in the buildings. She stated that she had noticed many birds hitting the windows and dying. As a way to prevent this, she began to post outlines of birds, such as hawks, in the windows to help the birds avoid hitting the window. After this, she stated that she's seen a decrease in bird strikes around the building.

Representative from 3M Company
A representative speaking for 3M stated that they offer various products that would be helpful in deterring bird strikes, particularly a polyester film that is offered in a variety of patterns and opacities and has the option of customization. This product, 3Mâ„¢ Fasaraâ„¢ Window Film, can be implemented easily by applying to the interior of perimeter windows by means of an adhesive backing. 3M redirected us to a distribution company called Decorative Films. Â This method of prevention has recently been implemented on the US Bank Stadium in Minnesota to stop the frequent bird strikes that were occuring there
