SAVE THE BIRDS

A strong bird population is essential to human welfare. Each year, the United States  is faced with an astounding one billion deaths of birds per year as a result of them getting senselessly killed by glass. One billion preventable deaths.  Why should we even be concerned with the death of birds anyway? Well, the cost is incalculable because of their large economic value and contribution to the U.S. economy  as well as their metaphorical presence connecting the real and natural world which has served as an inspiration to legendary authors over centuries - but we can draw some estimates.
